WOW! Have we got some exciting news to share! The Cobblettes have teamed up with Open Runway to make your shoemaking experience more exciting and rewarding than ever!
Monika Desai, a former student of Emily’s, is the CEO and co-founder of Open Runway. Open Runway is a new venture that is changing the way we shop…especially for shoes. The way the concept works is that the shopper can choose from some pre-defined base styles and then choose from a wide range of leathers, heels and trims to make them their own using their interactive on line design studio. The shoes are made to order and delivered to the customer in approximately three weeks. Eventually, they will be adding handbags and other fashion items.
Now, the really exciting thing about this is that Open Runway will be hosting ongoing design contest where emerging designers from our workshops will be entered in the contest. The Open Runway community will vote for their favorites and help decide the winning designer. If, your shoes are chosen your design will be manufactured by Open Runway and become part of their collection. In addition, there is also a cash prize.
Just image the possibility of this! You do not need any prior experience…you do not need a design background or any special training. The Cobblettes will teach you everything you need to know to bring your design to life.
